Adam Carr Appointed Curator

Adam Carr (Born 1981, Chester, UK) is an internationally recognised curator and writer. He has organised numerous exhibitions for museums, institutions and galleries across the globe, including those in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, United States, Lithuania, Mexico, and the UK. In 2010, he was a guest curator for Castello di Rivoli, Museum of Contemporary Art, Rivoli, Turin, Italy. In 2005 he was a guest curator for Institute of Contemporary Arts, London, and in 2006 to 2007 he was an adjunct curator for Kadist Art Foundation in Paris. In 2007, he became a visiting professor at Oslo Academy of the Arts, Norway.

He has worked with a broad range of internationally established artists such as Robert Barry, Nina Beier, Daniel Buren, Claire Fontaine, Ryan Gander, Jens Haaning, Jonathan Monk, Tris Vonna-Michell and Lawrence Weiner, among others. He has also worked with a number of emerging artists including Simon Fujiwara, Alek O., Dan Rees and Hannah Rickards.

In addition to his work as a curator, he is highly active writer having written for numerous exhibition catalogues, artist monographs and art publications worldwide. He is a regular contributing writer for Cura., Flash Art, Mousse and Spike Art Quarterly.
