As part of her overall exploration of cultural identity and change, Reiko Aoyagi works imaginatively and intensively with the architecture, light and environment of the exhibition space to create a changed space for the visitor to experience. Her work reflects her interest in exploring human relationships and cultural boundaries, in particular whether globalisation may lead to the to transcending of cultural boundaries formed by the language and education acquired in a specific place.
