COPI KATZ

Copi Katz is a group exhibition of portraits inspired by works in the ARTIST ROOMS Alex Katz exhibition. Students from two local secondary schools have created artworks responding to three different Alex Katz portraits. Since September, Mostyn has been working with the students to create large portrait drawings. Pupils were asked to keep similar features of the original portrait but add their own style and personal twist to the artwork. These sessions have resulted in colourful and eye-catching works that reflect a wide range of contemporary fashions, trends and references to popular culture.
