Heather Bowring / Alex Dewart
02 Jan - 22 Jan 2008

The season ends with two very different and novel approaches to extending the life of painting. In the case of Alex Dewart, this is by questioning a received history of landscape, with works that start as simple drawings on a computer and sift through a plethora of influences so as to end at the boundaries of landscape and the abstract. Heather Bowring, with many paintings often made for, and in collaboration with, visually impaired people, takes forward into interesting territory a wholly personal dialogue between artist and viewer.
